Synopsis:
After a long time, three sisters come back to their paternal house. They face a caretaker along with their mother struggling with Alzheimer’s. But there is no trace of the father who has disappeared in an early morning. A dead body is found, but none of the sisters are going to identify the body due to the hatred rooted in their hearts. There is a dark secret in the family, but no one intends to talk about it…

Director’s Profile:
Born in 1980 in Babol, Reza Gouran has been named one the most promising and successful Iranian stage directors in the international scene.
A graduate of Dramatic Literature from Tehran Faculty of Art and Architecture and Modern Directing from Montreux, Gouran has established himself in the world of theatre as one of the highly acclaimed young directors, staging masterworks such as “Hamlet”, “Man Equals Man” and “Medea” in Iran, the Netherlands and Estonia. A multi award winning director in theatre festivals, Gouran began his film career with a medium-length work, A LONG, LONG WAY, in 2016.
REPRESSION is his debut feature film.
