WHEN YOU WERE NOT HERE in Matera IFF 2024

In the 5^th edition of MATIFF – Matera International Film Festival (September 21^st to 28^th, 2024 / Italy), Kaveh Sajjadi Hosseini’s new film, WHEN YOU WERE NOT HERE, will be a part of the official program.

Focusing on the gender inequality, the immigration failures, the social and emotional insecurity, the underground music, the marginalized communities, the loneliness and the alienation in his latest venture, Sajjadi Hosseini says, “In a country, where the women and children are frequently left alone, when the men are absent in different periods due to war, immigration, imprisonment, working in the deserted spots, etc., youth and female power are destined to mark the beginning of a new age…”
