THE BLUE GIRL in the Official Selection of KICFF

Kolkata International Children’s Film Festival includes Keivan Majidi’s THE BLUE GIRL in the official selection– however due to the pandemic, the 10^th edition of the Indian festival which is to be held from January 22^nd to 26^th, 2021 might be postponed this year.

In his debut film, THE BLUE GIRL, Majidi goes back to the origins of New Iranian Cinema and makes an authentic docudrama with a simple, humane storyline, a keen eye for capturing children’s behaviors and hopes, a bunch of non-professional actors, a small budget and utilization of regional settings and language of Kurdistan Province in Iran.

The film has been already a part of Zlin and Dhaka Film Festivals.
