Dhaka IFF 2024 Award for JUNKS & DOLLS

Manijeh Hekmat’s latest film, JUNKS & DOLLS, wins the Best Film Award in the Women Filmmakers Section of the 22^nd Dhaka International Film Festival (January 20^th to 28^th, 2024 / Bangladesh).

Reflecting Hekmat’s environmental sensitivities and allegorical narratives, the film has already participated in Kolkata IFF 2023, IFF Kerala 2023 and Dhaka IFF 2024.

The nine-day Bangladeshi film festival featured 253 films from 74 countries – including three other IRIMAGE titles, Ali Bayat’s debut feature film, GREEN PLUM SEASON, in the Asian Competition and Hamed Rajabi’s second feature film, THE ROPEWALKER MEMORIES, and Arman Zarrinkoob’s debut feature film, WALTZ FOR THREE, in the Cinema of the World Section.
