MAMAN and DROWN in Chennai IFF 2021
Two debut feature films, Arash Aneessee’s MAMAN and Mohammad Kart’s DROWN, will be a part of the 19th Chennai International Film Festival (December 13th, 2021 to January 6th, 2022 / India).
MAMAN has won the Best Actress Award at Fajr National Film Festival 2021 and entered the Debut Feature Competition at International Film Festival of India – Goa 2021.
And DROWN has participated in Fajr National Film Festival 2020 (Audience Award; Best Supporting Actor Award (Amir Aghaei); Best Supporting Actress Award (Tannaz Tabatabaei); Best Editing Award; and Best Sound Award), Shanghai International Film Festival 2021 (Belt and Road Competitive Section / Three Nominations for Media Choice Award for Film, Media Choice Award for Filmmaker and Audience Award for Film), Iranian Film Festival Australia 2021, Wales International Film Festival 2021 (Special Jury Prize – Best Foreign Language Film Category), Loudoun Arts Film Festival 2021 (Best Actor Award, Best Supporting Actress Award, Best Narrative Feature Nominee), Iranian Film Festival – San Francisco 2021, Kazan International Muslim Film Festival 2021, Chungbuk International Martial Arts Action Film Festival 2021, Barcelona Asian Film Festival 2021 (Best Script Award), Slemani International Film Festival 2021 (Feature Film Competition) and Golden Jury International Film Festival 2021 (Best First Time Director Award Category).
