SUMMERTIME in Pune IFF 2025

Mahmoud Kalari’s film, SUMMERTIME, is a part of the Global Cinema program at the 23^rd Pune International Film Festival (February 13^th to 20^th, 2025 / India).

Kalari expresses, “Thinking of what happens to Iranian people in the hard times, I always reflect on these verses by Nima Yooshij, father of modern Persian poetry:

What a lot of severe punishments

for which a small slip becomes an excuse!”

The film has been previously shown in a number of prestigious film festivals such as Sao Paulo, Bosphorus and Dhaka.
