THE BLUE GIRL wins big at Cote d’Azur FICTS Festival
Keivan Majidi’s debut feature film, THE BLUE GIRL, is the winner of the Best Sport Film Award at Beausoleil Côte d’Azur International FICTS Festival du Cinéma Sportif (May 10th to 12th, 2022 / France).
With THE BLUE GIRL, Majidi has emerged as a promising, rising star, reflecting the teachings of great Iranian filmmakers who started their career in Kanoon, emphasizing on docu-drama style, children-centered simple narrative and working with local non-professional actors. Moreover rooted in his love for his homeland in Kurdistan, Iran, THE BLUE GIRL is strengthened by the authenticity of the local language and the presence of the native newcomers behind the camera.
