THE DOGS DIDN’T SLEEP LAST NIGHT goes to Goa
In its World Premiere, Ramin Rasouli’s THE DOGS DIDN’T SLEEP LAST NIGHT entered the International Competition of the 51st International Film Festival of India – Goa (January 16th to 24th, 2021 – India) as an Afghanistan – Iran co-production.
In his second film, with solid directing, Rasouli depicts post Taliban Afghanistan, following the intertwining stories of three characters, living in a remote spot in the vast landscapes of his homeland.
Resembling a Neo Western in its narrative and visual style, the film revolves around three plotlines: saving an outlaw, living under the raids of the bandits and taking revenge from an unlawful man of the law.
