TSUNAMI and THE DOGS DIDN’T SLEEP LAST NIGHT travel to Sweden
In the 13th Sama International Film Festival (October 8th to 9th, 2022 / Stockholm, Sweden), Milad Sadrameli’s debut feature film, TSUNAMI, and Ramin Rasouli’s second film, THE DOGS DIDN’T SLEEP LAST NIGHT, are respectively selected for “International Films” and “Films from Afghanistan” sections.
As an Iranian film entry in Sama IFF 2022, TSUNAMI has previously participated in Wales International Film Festival 2020 (Best Foreign Film Nominee), Asian Film Festival – Barcelona 2020 (NETPAC Section), Sport Movies & TV 2020 – 38th Milano International FICTS Fest 2020 (Winner of Mention d’Honneur – Movies Category), Iranian Film Cycle in Casa Asia 2021, Chungbuk International Martial Arts Action Film Festival 2021 (International Competition) and Sama International Film Festival 2022 (International Competition).
As an Afghan / Dutch / Iranian coproduction, THE DOGS DIDN’T SLEEP LAST NIGHT was premiered in the main competition of International Film Festival of India – Goa 2021 and then participated in Chennai International Film Festival 2021, Fajr International Film Festival 2021 (Interfaith Prize Winner), Wales International Film Festival 2021 (Finalist – Best Foreign Language Film Category), Kazan International Muslim Film Festival 2021 (Russia – Islamic World Program), Barcelona Asian Film Festival 2021 (Discoveries Section), Sao Paulo International Film Festival 2021 (New Filmmakers Competition), Carthage International Film Festival 2021 (World Cinema Section), Popoli e Religioni – Terni Film Festival 2021 (Competition Section), Bastau International Film Festival 2021 (Special Afghan Programme), Golden Jury International Film Festival 2021 (The Best Foreign Language Film Award Category), International Guwahati Film Festival 2022, Afghan Film Cycle in Barcelona – Casa Asia Special Program 2022, Nederlands Film Festival 2022
